This class will provide participants with the information needed to understand how a lift truck operates, stability principals and safe operating procedures. The course is designed in accordance with CSA B335-04 Safety Standard for Lift Trucks and the Ministry of Labour Guideline for Safe Operation of a Lift Truck. In order to receive a Certificate of Competence, a passing grade must be obtained on a written test in class, and a practical skills evaluation performed at the worker's place of employment. The CSA standard recommends retraining every 3 years, and repeating a practical evaluation at 18 months.
